Survey of media literature that spans a number of disciplines; examining (how various media industries, radio, TV, record, motion picture, print, new and digital media) are organized and how such organization is sometimes transformed by regulations, competitions, and/or technology, emphasizing on media contents and investigating factors that promote stability, change, and diversity; how consumers of mass media products utilize and are affected by media contents.

facilitation of the intensive understanding and applicability of the different tracks and topics in the sociology of mass media;

development of academic reading, researching, and writing skills in relation to the academic texts in the sociology of mass media; and
